I am a single father, 33, of one beautiful son.. At age one his mother left while I was finishing my junior year of college. I was unable to finish my degree, and am now stuck with student loans I can"t pay.. Can anyone help?
I'm a single dad of two and have some student loans to pay for which is hard with the child support i'm paying. I am currently looking online for assistance with student loans; all though am not finding anything. All I find is to get help with going back to school.
Your story sounds familiar. I also am a single mother trying to pay off my loan. If you have found help, please let me know. Because everything was in my X's name, and we never were married.....I am starting over! I get no support as of right now. When I decided to leave, I basically had to leave all that was in his name. Because he had a "fleet" of vehicles, the car insurance was cheaper for him to insure the car. He even kept my longaberger baskets....lol! But the "basket case" can keep them. Things do get better. Call the student loan co and explaine your situation. They do work with you. I feel your pain! And one more thing...I did finish school, but the pay is no where near what was promissed while in school! Good Luck!
